I have lived in Prairie Winds for 8 years. I like the everything about the complex, that I even upgraded my apartment at lease renewal. The office staff is very friendly. They are diligent and take care of any needs I have promptly and efficiently. They have events in the clubhouse of different themes and provide food and liquor. There is an upcoming pool party this month. The maintenance staff is great. I only had a couple of minor issues, and they fixed whatever I needed, on the same or next day the latest. They keep up the property immaculately and have been the same team for years now too! The amenities are amazing. When I have a first-time visitor, they can't believe the size of the 24-hour gym, or the how nice the 24-hour indoor pool & oversized hot tub are. They have conference rooms with big screens TV's. Even a very nice pool table that is also free 24 hours. My favorite amenity is the outdoor pools with chaise lounges, tables, plus hammocks and cabanas, right next to a 4 grill, grilling station surrounded by a 20-seat bar for people to eat at. I was pleasantly surprised that those amenities are open by the outside temps. Unlike many other places that are only open from Memorial Day to Labor Day. That's like and extra 2 months. They really thought out the landscape plan with different trees, so there is green all year round, which is perfect for the many dog owners to walk their dogs to the onsite dog park or trails around with pet waste stations throughout. They even have 1 garbage area with compactor away from the apartments, so there are never any unsightly trash cans or trash days to deal with. I could say more nice things, but this review says all you need to know!

My wife and I moved to Prairie Winds following a fire at our home. We had very low expectations of any temporary housing but were thrilled when our relocation consultant found us this property. We have had only 100% positive interactions with everyone in the management office. A few minor items needing maintenance intervention popped up, but the response was swift, fixed the first time with a smile and always handled professionally. The amenities are something that are very much growing on us. The exercise facility rivals what I paid for at a local health club, indoor & outdoor pools, full locker room and a secure mailing center that beats receiving package deliveries at our home's doorstep. The people here are friendly and respectful. There's a number of people who have dogs, but the owners do an excellent job of cleaning up after and training their dog to interact well with others. We're very fortunate to have found Prairie Winds! UPDATE: With our house restored, we 've moved back home and can now reflect on the 10 months we lived at Prairie Winds. The impeccably appointed units are maintained by their very responsive, efficient and friendly maintenance crew. The amenities are one of the things we will miss more than we realize at the moment. But, we can't say enough about the office staff. Susan, Amy & Emily treated us, as they do all residents, as if we were family. Helpful and responsive beyond our expectations, they assisted us in every way possible. Although we had a unique rental experience and knew that our stay was finite, without question, if we were looking for a long term rental residence, we would never choose anything but Prairie Winds. 10 out of 5 stars!

I have been living at Prairie Winds Apartments for almost a year now, and my experience has been nothing short of fantastic. The amenities provided here have truly elevated my living experience. The indoor and outdoor pools are not only beautiful but also well-maintained, offering a perfect retreat whether I want to swim laps or simply relax by the water (which tends to be the preferred option!). The gym is, without a doubt, the highlight for me since I workout 5-6x/week. It's equipped with everything I need for a good workout, making it easy to maintain a healthy lifestyle without the need for an external gym membership..WOOHOO! The variety of equipment ensures that there's something for everyone, and the cleanliness and organization of the space contribute to a positive exercise environment. The grilling stations are a wonderful addition, providing a great space for outdoor gatherings and enjoying delicious meals. You can always count on seeing a friendly face at the grills. In the summer months it truly becomes a gathering place for all the tenants. Shortly after living here we were invited to come out to the grills only to find out that everyone gets together regularly to cook and share conversations. Seemed to good to be true but that's exactly what happened! Have I sold you yet? The apartments themselves are spacious and well-designed. I appreciate the thought that went into the layout, providing both functionality and a sense of openness. The attention to maintenance and landscaping adds to the overall appeal of the community. Beyond the amenities and physical spaces, what truly sets Prairie Winds Apartments apart is the people. The staff is not only professional and responsive but also genuinely friendly and welcoming. It's evident that they care about the well-being of the residents, creating a sense of community that is truly special. I feel fortunate to call Prairie Winds Apartments my home. It's more than just a place to live; it's a community that enhances my lifestyle, and I can't recommend it enough. Also, I huge thank you to Amy in the front office. Without you, this wouldn't have become a reality!

My husband and I have lived at Prairie Winds for about a year and a half now and have really enjoyed all the amazing perks of living here. Everything is top notch - you can tell expenses were not spared when building these apartments because we truly feel it lives up to luxury living. We honestly wish you could buy these out as condos because we really don't want to move ever! The staff are always super nice and welcoming and always there to assist if you need anything. The amenities are really what elevates this place too - the gym is a mini xsport and indoor and outdoor pools are always kept in shape (another bonus is the indoor pool & spa in the winter help the cold months go by swiftly). Not to mention, you have like 4 grocery stores to choose from within 5 minutes as well as all the beautiful tri cities to go to for amazing food or even just a walk.

I downsized from a large family home to a 2 bedroom apartment here at Prairie winds. From the first time I walked into the office I knew this was the place for me. The office staff did not disappoint, were professional and personable. They have been great ever since. My Apartment is like a house. The upgrades are beautiful and I have not heard a neighbor ever since being here. I feel like I am living in a luxury hotel every day. The maintenance staff is like no other. They are professional and personable and get the job done. I have been here 3 months and know I am not leaving here anytime soon. Prairie winds is home and with the amenities is well worth the rent I pay. The staff goes above and beyond to have events that help you lmeet your neighbors. All my neighbors are nice and the grounds are beautiful. I cant say enough nice things about Prairie winds!

I’ve lived at Prairie Winds for almost 2 years and love it. The location is super convenient, with everything you need along Randall Road and farm country a quarter mile west. Downtown Geneva, St. Charles and Batavia are within 15 mins, with plenty to do along the Fox River. The units are more like luxury townhomes, with private front entrances and attached garages. The buildings are very quiet and the grounds offer much natural landscaping. The indoor/out pools, jacuzzi and large gym are the best compared to other complexes. Other residents are super friendly and it’s always fun meeting their canine companions. The maintenance crew are friendly and have been very responsive. (It’s great not having to shovel snow in the winter). Amy and Emily, in the leasing office are always smiling and willing to help out when requested. Living here is a truly relaxing and enjoyable experience.

I have lived at Prairie Winds since about March and have loved my experience! The property itself is beautiful and well maintained (with lots of amazing amenities). Although apartments, it feels more like living in a townhome between the floor plans, private entrances, and landscape. The office staff has been very kind and supportive to both myself and my family, and they always have a sucker or dog bone to hand out! I haven’t had to interact with maintenance, as everything in my apartment has been perfect since moving in. It’s also nice that they do little extras for the families that live here, such as an egg hunt, or breakfast, or Mother’s Day treat. Overall, Prairie Winds is a welcoming community/neighborhood vibe and a great home!

We have been living at PW for almost 3 months thus far and it’s been overall a great experience. The apartment looks very chic and modern, and it feels very spacious for our family of 3. Here’s what I’ve noticed so far: Pros: - the apartment itself is very cute, I especially love the fireplace - having a heated attached garage in the winter is life-changing - the amenities in the clubhouse are nice. I am looking forward to the spring and summer time so we can use the outdoor swimming pool and grilling area - the neighbors seem friendly overall - pet friendly - soft carpets in living room and bedrooms (carpeted bedrooms are a must for us) - close to many things (Geneva Commons, Meijer, Costco, Target, etc) - the ladies working in the leasing office are friendly and helpful (Susan and Frannie) - the maintenance guys are really friendly and fix things in a timely manner - beautiful landscaping (though you can’t see it very well now because of all the snow ) Cons: - there is only one trash area in the entire apartment complex and you have to put your trash in the car and drive it down there (unless you happen to live in the apartments closer to the dumpster I guess) Personally, it grosses me out to have to load up my trash in my car every other day, so I feel like they would have benefitted from spacing out dumpsters throughout the complex for convenience sake, or at least offering a valet trash service which I would have gladly paid for. Just my thoughts, though. 🤷‍♀️ - the application process was the most tedious I’ve ever had to deal with, much more than the norm. I’ve lived at multiple luxury apartments across the country prior to living here and the process here was definitely more tedious than elsewhere. It was definitely worth the extra effort though because I enjoy living here. Just a heads up. - When we moved in, their cleaning lady didn’t do a great job cleaning our new place. The property management told us this was a new company due to covid so they didn’t usually have this dilemma. The housekeeper left poop marks in the toilet, garbage under the bathroom vanity, in the closet, and under the oven, dirty bathroom mirrors, and a clump of wet dirty clothes in the washing machine with the door closed (making it prone to mold growing in there). However, the good thing is that after we complained to the property manager and showed her photos and videos of the problems, she hooked us up with Amazon gift cards and the cleaning company promised us a free cleaning in the future. They solved the issue quickly, so I can tell you that they have great customer service skills when issues arise for their tenants. They offered to send another cleaning person, but I had already cleaned it myself by that point so I declined that offer. - this might just be the placement of my driveway, but parking can be pretty tight depending on the location of your driveway. My driveway backs out next to some parked cars, and when it snows the neighbors park their cars sticking way out into the road, consequently making it difficult for me to get in/out of my garage/driveway with my full size SUV sometimes. - the tandem “2 car” garage does not fit 2 cars. We’ve tried. Our 2 SUVs won’t fit in there. Perhaps if you have one large car and one small car or two small cars you could fit them, but don’t count on 2 large SUVs fitting in there. We ended up using our tandem garage as half storage and half parking for one car. It’s a tight squeeze to get it in but we’ve been managing. It’s definitely worth it to get into a heated car in the wintertime. Overall, we are enjoying our time here at PW so far! I would recommend this apartment complex to anyone looking for a good quality of life in the St. Charles area.

I am looking forward to the spring and summer time so we can use the outdoor swimming pool and grilling area - the neighbors seem friendly overall - pet friendly - soft carpets in living room and bedrooms (carpeted bedrooms are a must for us) - close to many things (Geneva Commons, Meijer, Costco, Target, etc) - the ladies working in the leasing office are friendly and helpful (Susan and Frannie) - the maintenance guys are really friendly and fix things in a timely manner - beautiful landscaping (though you can’t see it very well now because of all the snow 😆) Cons: - there is only one trash area in the entire apartment complex and you have to put your trash in the car and drive it down there (unless you happen to live in the apartments closer to the dumpster I guess) Personally, it grosses me out to have to load up my trash in my car every other day, so I feel like they would have benefitted from spacing out dumpsters throughout the complex for convenience sake, or at least offering a valet trash service which I would have gladly paid for. Just my thoughts, though. 🤷🏻‍♀️ - the application process was the most tedious I’ve ever had to deal with, much more than the norm.

I have lived at Prairie Winds Apartments for over a year. It's such a wonderful community! I've made many friends that I met at the events/parties hosted by the amazing PW staff. Speaking of the staff... they are awesome people! They genuinely care about their residents, they plan such fun events/parties, and they take great care in maintaining the community amenities and units. Aside from living in a gorgeous and spacious luxury apartment, one of my favorite aspects of the community is the pool area. There's an indoor pool AND indoor hot tub... ANNND a resort-style, outdoor pool. The pool spaces are so beautiful! Runner up to my favorite part of the community? Definitely the gym! It's well-maintained and fantastic for residents. Love it here!

I've been living at Prairie Winds for about a year and 5 months. My experience living here has been really positive. Where do I start.... Its obvious that this is a class A property, there is absolutely nothing like it in the Chicago suburbs. The gym is absolutely amazing, I work out there every day, its well kept and management always looks to get more equipment in, they also quickly contact maintenance if a machine breaks. The pool and indoor hot tub are fantastic! I love going in there after a tough work out, or simply to relax after a long day. The outdoor pool is super fun in the summer time! That is the place where you will meet most of your neighbors, everyone likes to have fun and enjoy the nice weather. I can say hands down I had a fantastic summer there last year. I love the actual apartment, great layout and the finishes are hard to find in this area. I've never had an issue hearing other neighbors or anything of that sort. If something broke, the maitenance crew was quick to come over and fix it. Neighbors, I have gotten SO close to the people here. I can say I've made great friendships with the people in this community and often hang out with them more than I do with my regular friends. I couldn't have asked for a better group of neighbors. Now lets talk about the staff.. I've gotten to know them and I can honestly say these people are great. Any time I've reached out to them, they take the time to listen, put themselves in my shoes and take action to help me. They are extremely friendly and take care of stuff in a timely manner. They stand out as being really good at making relationships with people. I can probably mention many different scenarios I've encountered but this review would go too long. All I can say is I am impressed and I appreciate all that they have done for me. Unfortunately, I am relocating for work and will be moving out in the next few days. I hope others find this review beneficial and give this place a shot. I've had the time of my life and I am sure others will too.

We love living at Prairie Winds Apartments! From the staff to the amenities to the apartment upgrades, everything is TOP NOTCH! It has the feel of a resort townhome community. If you are going to rent in St. Charles this is the place, hands down. They have fun events for the residents to meet each other and you can enjoy the coffee / tea bar in the leasing office. Having a 2 car attached garage saves us from having to pay for a storage unit. The park is great for little ones and we really enjoy the onsite gym and outdoor kitchen. There is also a business room that I’ve used several times for remote meetings. We absolutely love it here – thank you for building this amazing community for my family to live!

Really happy with the experience I've had living here since last year. I noticed there aren't many detailed reviews listed so I figured I'd add one to help out anyone considering renting here. The good stuff: - The entire complex was built last year so everything is modern and well-kept. - The apartments are town-home style so every unit has their own personal garage, driveway, and address. There are no shared areas in the buildings, everything is private. My specific floorplan has no neighbors above or below me which is an added bonus. - The finishes in the units are very nice, with condo-quality fixtures that you often don't often find in apartments. Many times in newer apartments you get things like stainless steel appliances & granite countertops etc. but the quality is usually very low-grade. The appliances in these units are not the absolute cheapest stainless ones like many complexes, but actually nice models - same with the cabinetry/soft-close drawers, faucets, tile & glass shower, full-size washer & dryer, window blinds, etc. - Great amenities, outdoor pool area & walking paths feel more like a resort than an apartment complex. - Gym is in a league of its own, very impressive. - The manager Drennan is fantastic, and the leasing agents in the office are very friendly as well. - Neighborhood feels very safe, never had any issues. - Great neighbors here which you usually don't find in regular apartment complexes (as you normally never see them). Here people are often outside walking their dogs, grilling, etc. - great community feel that is rare in rental properties. Makes it feel a lot more like home when you can enjoy some grilled burgers & conversation with your neighbors on a nice night. - Haven't had a single issue that required maintenance in my unit yet. I'm sure they are very helpful but I have yet to use them which I consider a good thing. - Fantastic stand-alone tile showers in 2br or 3br units. - Large balconies with plugs & lighting. - High ceilings (vaulted in living room as well) & wide staircases. - Strong & efficient HVAC system & water heater. - Wifi-enabled garage door opener. - Fiber internet, have not had a single internet issue since living here. - Online portal for easy rent payments and maintenance requests. - Very modern package locker system with text & email alerts. Some of the not so great stuff: - Trash compactor isn't cleaned frequently enough. Previous management company kept it spotless with very frequent cleanings. Often very smelly and dirty now. Recycling area is well-kept however. - The only natural gas appliance is the furnace, so the electric bill can get high easily. - Would prefer more of the laminate flooring (kitchen, bathrooms, entry foyer), too much carpet in the units for my preference (all bedrooms, stairs, living room). As you can see the pros significantly overshadow the cons, hence the 5 star rating. I'd feel confident recommending this complex to any friends or family and for what you pay in rent, I think it's well worth it.
